Richard Hudson

British, b. 1954

Biography

Richard Hudson is a contemporary British sculptor known for his polished mirrored steel, bronze, marble, and wood sculptures, ranging from intimate works to monumental public installations. Born in Yorkshire, Hudson developed a refined visual language of organic forms, fluid contours, and reflective surfaces that transform the space around them. His work often revisits the human figure, beauty, and sensuality through abstraction, creating sculptures that are both tactile and architectural. A member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, Hudson has exhibited internationally and placed major works in prominent private collections, foundations, museums, and sculpture parks. His practice brings a contemporary sculptural dialogue to Gary Nader Art Centre’s presentation of form, material, and monumentality.
