ORIGINS AND FOUNDATION
A LIFELONG CAREER IN ART BEGINS
Gary Nader began his professional career as Director of Nader Art Gallery in Santo Domingo, laying the foundation for more than four decades devoted to modern and contemporary art.
THE FOUNDING OF GARY NADER FINE ART
Gary Nader Fine Art opened in Coral Gables, establishing a new platform for modern and contemporary art in Miami. That same year, Gary Nader Editions was founded to publish fine art books and exhibition catalogues focused on Latin American art.INSTITUTIONAL EXPANSION
GARY NADER ART CENTRE OPENS IN WYNWOOD
Gary Nader opened Gary Nader Art Centre in Miami's Wynwood Arts District. With 55,000 square feet, the Centre expanded the traditional gallery model through major exhibitions, collecting, publishing, education, and sustained engagement with modern and contemporary art.
THE INAUGURATION OF NADER MUSEUM
Gary Nader inaugurated the Nader Art Museum Latin America, originally known as NAMLA and today as Nader Museum. Created to preserve, present, and expand access to his private collection, the museum became the historical and institutional foundation of Gary Nader Art Centre's cultural program.NEW FORMS OF EXPERIENCE
BOTERO IMMERSED
Gary Nader inaugurated Botero Immersed at Nader Museum on December 2, 2021. Monumental projections, light, and music composed by Grammy Award-winning producer Emilio Estefan introduced visitors to Fernando Botero's visual universe through an immersive museum experience.
BOTEROSUTRA
Gary Nader presented BoteroSutra Homage to Fernando Botero at Gary Nader Art Centre. On view from December 2023 through April 2024, it was the final exhibition curated by the Colombian master and marked a meaningful chapter in Nader's decades-long relationship with the artist and his work.THE GALLERY WITHOUT WALLS
